The MPC Book Club Tuesdays, 7 - 8:30 pm, for six weeks, March 19th to April 23rd
This time we will be reading and discussing the first section of Old Path, White Cloud, Walking in the Footsteps of the Buddha, by Thich Nhat Hanh.
Tuesdays evenings 7 - 8:30 pm, for six weeks on Zoom.
Everyone is welcome to join but we will have a limit of 16 members.
The book is available from:
Parallax Press, the publishing house of the Plum Village Community, in paper or electronic format.
Online stores and book sellers.
We will read a chapter or a section at home and share our feelings, thoughts and reactions during the Zoom sessions in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
We especially encourage non-meditators and those who are not familiar with Buddhism or Thich Nhat Hanh to join our group. What better way to find out about something new!
There will be a break once we finish the first part of the book. Then we will start over with the next part at a later date.

Note : The book is available in French under the title, "Sur les traces de Siddharta."
Just as vegetation is sensible to sunlight, mental formations are sensitive to mindfulness. Mindfulness is the energy that can embrace and transform all mental formations. Mindfulness helps us leave behind "upside-down perceptions" and wakes us up to what is happening.
